Funding Options

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

📞 Phone: 1800 800 110🌐 Website: NDIS Website

The NDIS provides funding support for individuals with disabilities, including children needing speech pathology services. Under this scheme, your child will receive a personalized plan tailored to their circumstances and support needs. This is one of the most effective ways to access fully funded government support.

Early Childhood Approach

For children under 6 years old with developmental delays or children under 9 with disabilities, the Early Childhood Approach helps families access the right support when needed.

💡 Key points:

  • No formal diagnosis is required for children under 6 if there are developmental concerns.

  • Provides early intervention to support your child’s development.

How to Apply for NDIS Funding

  1. Complete an Access Request Form

    • Visit the NDIS website: NDIS Access Request Form

    • Submit the form with necessary documentation about your child’s needs.

  2. Get Assistance if Needed

    • If the process seems confusing, help is available!

    • Contact a Local Area Coordinator (LAC) for guidance and support.

    • Find your nearest LAC here: NDIS Contact Locations

⚠️ Note: The NDIS application process can take time, so it’s best to start as early as

possible.
